Course overview
Course Overview:
The Advanced Radiotherapy and Oncology Practice pathway supports qualified therapeutic radiographers wanting to take the next step in their professional development. The pathway is designed to facilitate progression into advanced and specialist roles, enabling you to broaden your clinical expertise and gain in-depth understanding of evidence-based, contemporary radiotherapeutic practices.
The pathway has a flexible framework that allows you to tailor your learning to your individual professional needs. Many module options support the development of advanced practice competencies, including specialist areas such as palliative radiotherapy and breast localisation, and the wide range of modules available align to the four pillars of advanced practice: clinical practice, education, leadership and management and research.
Throughout the programme, you will be encouraged to critically explore your own professional practice, apply evidence and research to enhance your learning, and build the confidence to safely undertake advanced and specialist roles.
Professional Accreditation:
The Advanced Radiotherapy and Oncology Practice programme is endorsed by the College of Radiographers.
