This is a bespoke course commissioned by the GP Confederation in Ealing and NWL training up
The course focuses on providing an introduction in mental health awareness and skills in meeting the needs of patients who present in primary care. This includes an awareness of common mental health problems, addressing inequality and loneliness, mental health assessment skills, crisis intervention and safety planning, commonly prescribed medications, promoting recovery and trauma informed care principles.
This short course is non-credit bearing and will be delivered by our Senior lecturers:

Learning Outcomes
1. You will be able to demonstrate an awareness of commonly presented mental health problems in primary care and how to support people
2. Clinicians be able to demonstrate an understanding of mental health assessment and commonly prescribed medicine
3. Clinicians will have an awareness on supporting people in crisis and how to promote recovery and safety
