Course overview
The Practice Educator Refresher Course is designed for Practice Educators whose currency has lapsed – this means those who have not supported a social work learner for over two years. The course aims to refresh and update the knowledge and practical skills needed to return to practice as an effective Practice Educator. It focuses on supporting, facilitating, supervising, teaching, and assessing social work learners within practice education settings.
Depending on how long the Practice Educator status has lapsed, refreshers will be required to attend between two and five days of the Practice Educator Course to renew their currency.
Completion of the Refresher Course is mandatory before taking responsibility for a new social work learner.
